Internship in brief
Carnegie Investment Bank works within Corporate Finance advisory services and offers on a yearly basis an internship programme with good prospects for full-time employment. The internship programme runs over multiple periods of the year at the Helsinki office. You will have the opportunity to become an integral part of the Finnish Corporate Finance team for approx. 3-5 months. The application period for internship programmes for the year 2020 is open, with the deadline for applications on October 2nd and selected candidates should be prepared to attend interviews in October.

The internship programme provides you with valuable opportunities to network while gaining industrial experience by working with senior team members on diverse projects. You will also be expected to work independently on given tasks in order to boost your personal development. Early on in the internship, you will have the opportunity to engage in mergers and acquisitions (private and public M&A) as well as initial public offerings (IPOs) and other capital market transactions (including both ECM and DCM transactions). You will work in a fast-paced environment where curiosity, ambition and diversity are regarded as enriching qualities as well as necessities to achieve superior results.
We are looking for applicants that have, as of the start date of the internship, finished at least two years of higher education in finance, accounting, economics, industrial engineering and management, or other relevant subjects while maintaining a strong academic track record. Studies abroad and/or previous experience from the financial services industry are considered an advantage, but not a requirement. In addition, we value responsibility taking team-players with a genuine interest to learn more about Carnegie and investment banking.
Expected work tasks
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis of companies and industries
• Company valuation and financial modelling
• Producing project and marketing materials, including investor presentations, prospectuses and other
• Engaging in project coordination and meetings with clients and other advisers
